Where did it all begin ? Well
apparently with the Romans - yes chariot wheels have a lot
to answer for.
The roulette wheel is a direct descendant of ~
Ben Hur!
The Romans then improved upon the original version and it
became a compelling game of chance.
It has always been
popular in the casino's of Europe ( as far back as my
Grandfather can remember at least) and became all the rage in the
wild wild west of America during the gold rush in
California.
The center for the
US roulette industry (the gambling industry as a
whole really) moved to the Nevada Desert to a town called
Las Vegas where everyone could gamble to their hearts
content.. still doing it !
Now thousands
daily ask
Red, black,
diamond, hearts, spade or clubs ?
What is my lucky number
--- where will it end ?
The roulette wheel
has 36 numbers and the 0 and 00 totaling 38 numbers
altogether.
The object of the
game of roulette is to correctly guess a number that the
ball will land on (that will give you 35 times the money
you have bet on that number or 35:1) or the color
i.e. red or black, this will pay you at 1 for 1 money as
will betting that the number will be odd or even. 0 and 00
lose on this bet.
or (yes there are
more choices) to find them out (if you are still
interested and maybe to try your luck at the roulette
table place your mouse on your lucky number and click.
(mine is 300166 but it's not there!)
